Our history

ONE FAMILY, ONE COMPANY, A GREAT LOVE FOR THE TERRITORY.

The Madeo Agri-food Supply chain, located on the Ionian presilane hills, in San Demetrio Corone, was born from the intuition of the young entrepreneur Ernesto Madeo, who created the first pig breed in 1984.

The passion comes from the knowledge handed down by our parents and grandparents: we have been for generations and the Supply chain is much more than a workplace, it is our home, our daily life.

Nature at the center

The Supply chain is an intelligent ecosystem that puts man and nature at the centre.

All the products come from this integrated system and contain the best of Calabria: excellent raw materials, traditional processes, intense flavours.

The lines

The products of Madeo line are traditional from Calabria, sweet and spicy. They are made following the old family recipes, with typical and genuine ingredients, like wild fennel, fresh hot chili pepper paste, and extra virgin olive oil, all from our Supply chain.

Tradition

Salsiccia, Soppressata, Capocollo and Pancetta are the PDO Calabrian cured meats, made with the meat of pigs born, raised and slaughtered in Calabria. Flavoured with wild fennel and calabrian chili pepper paste from our Supply chain.

Territory

Black pig’s cured meats, an autochthonous breed raised outdoors, are characterized by the original black pigment on the skin, obtained through a patented production process. These meats, with a high content of oleic acid and Omega 3, are processed in an artisanal way and flavoured with natural spices and aromatic herbs. The long seasoning guarantees unique taste and flavors.
