MIA S.r.l., based in San Demetrio Corone (Cosenza, Italy), has adopted an Organisation, Management and Control Model pursuant to Italian Legislative Decree 231/2001, formally approved by the Shareholders’ Meeting on 19 April 2024. The Model is designed to prevent offences from being committed in the interest or to the advantage of the company and to ensure an effective management and control system that complies with the law.
The adoption of the 231 Model is an important tool for protecting the integrity of the company and safeguarding employees, customers, suppliers and everyone who has dealings with MIA S.r.l.
The Model works together with the company’s Code of Ethics, which sets out the fundamental principles of lawfulness, transparency, fairness and verifiability of all business activities, and serves as a point of reference for all Recipients: employees, collaborators, business partners and external consultants.
The Code of Ethics, adopted on 18 April 2024, commits the company to the highest standards of conduct in all its activities, in Italy and abroad, promoting the value of corporate reputation and ensuring respect for the principles of non-discrimination, fair relations between employees, protection of human resources and confidentiality of information.
The Supervisory Body (Organismo di Vigilanza, OdV), established under Legislative Decree 231/2001, is responsible for monitoring the effective implementation of the Model and compliance with the Code of Ethics.
The Supervisory Body has independent powers of initiative and control and plays a key role in preventing the risk of offences. It also manages internal and external information flows concerning possible breaches of the Model and the Code of Ethics.
Training and the dissemination of the Model and the Code of Ethics are essential for MIA S.r.l., which promotes knowledge of these tools at every level of the organisation. The company runs dedicated training sessions to make sure all Recipients are aware of the rules and procedures to follow, helping to create an ethical working environment that complies with the regulations.
MIA S.r.l.’s commitment to good governance is also reflected in the constant attention paid to improving and updating the Model and the Code of Ethics, which are regularly reviewed and amended to keep pace with new legislation and the needs of the business.
